{ june 13th }
WE MADE IT to our apartments.
it was SO nice to unpack our things and we instantly started feeling more settled until....
we realized there was NO AC at our place.
what the heck? of course not, it is only 103 degrees here... i mean why would we need AC?
it was in the evening. we knew it wasn't going to get fixed so after sweating from every pore as we brought in our suitcases and all of our things we headed to the pool!
which is about 30 feet from our front door, i might add. yep that is right!
this is bad AND good.
Bad because every time we come to and from the apartment running errands etc they want to go swimming. Good because the fact that we are so close and we can walk right to it and if i forget something we don't have to go far! plus we have use of a bathroom that is close:)
best thing: It's gated... or we would have a more paranoid mom :)
kids love that they have more room (living at a hotel for a week cramped their style.. ha)
the boys are sharing one room
abby is in ours... (our walk-in closest to be exact haha )
it has been a change from them being spoiled with their own bedrooms but it's okay they have been fine
the boys have been wanting to share anyways for the last few months so they are happy.
abby would share with them... but she just wants to play and keeps them up all night. trust me we've tried to have them all 3 in a room.
of course james fiddled with the power box the next day...
flipped a few switches and WALLA! it worked!
not sure he was supposed too... but we were happy to have Air conditioning!!!
not sure how long we would have lasted. one night was enough!
i won't lie... i was worried for the kids ALL night. i checked on them every few hours.. they weren't sweaty at all and they looked fine but i was nervous! we were dying so why weren't they? kids... ha
So the next two days we spent organizing our things. It was nice to get the truck unloaded and not live out of our suitcases. but then the dreaded grocery shopping began....
we HATE this part. stocking up on all the condiments etc that you leave back home... starting a pantry and thinking of all the food you still have... but couldn't transport. oh well we do it but it just stinks every time.
swimming
what do you buy for a girl that doesn't want to get in the water??
PINK FLOATIES
yep it did the trick! of course they had to be pink.. duh mom. the spider man ones just won't work.
i kid you not, she would hold on to me for dear life or just not want to get in!
love my girly girl. now she is a little fish!!!
adam loves the water.. i'm pretty sure he thinks he is 5 just like his big brother
he actually tells people he is a 5 year old... what a kid.
he follows parker around and is quite a litle fish himself.
parker didn't like the water at this age..
i'm SO happy that they will wear floaties... i can relax a "little" more
at least i don't have to have my eyes on them every second of the time
going to the playground at apartments...
she walked out with her puppy, her purple bear, and 2 barbies in hand.
i just started laughing!
gotta loves those high heals nana poulson brought back from china for her...
she loves them.. but they aren't really "playground" shoes. ha
we have an airport close... so every time one flies above up the kids yell PLANE PLANE
mom did you see that? especially adam he thinks they are awesome
i can't ignore him when he sees one... he will keep telling me until i look up!
i can't ignore him when he sees one... he will keep telling me until i look up!
my little loungers.... ha
abby has always been my little lounger but it was cute seeing them both do it
funny kids
YAY for summertime!! it is hot HOT hot here so we will be staying cool by the pool a lot
but we are ready for a new adventure
It's also my moms birthday TODAY!! i just want to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MOM.
we miss you so, and can't wait to come home next month and the kids are already anxiously waiting to take a trip to visit you and dad. hope you have a wonderful day! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
