lately...

abby is my tough one to get to smile in pics with the boys... 

so i don't try anymore ha

these 3 kids crack me up. I know i've said in the past that i LOVE this stage right now but i really love their ages right now! they are all SO different with their own little personalities...
but we are having fun

Parker  

* i just can't believe he is going to be a little Kindergartner in just a few short weeks (sniff sniff)

* he has lost 2 teeth and his next one to fall out is barely hanging on... he does NOT like you to touch it and says "it will just fall out mom" i'm sure it will... but i WANT to pull them out so bad!

* he is so protective of his brother/sister. i love seeing little acts of it. he makes sure they are okay when they get hurt.. and says, "its okay i'll help you." 

* he is getting over his fear for dogs... well somewhat. he tells me he wants a dog ALL the time and that he will like it when it lives with us. ha. we did visit a pet store and the kids (okay i totally did too..) fell in LOVE with a little shih tzu it was the cutest cuddly thing ever. I've never wanted a pet. but i wanted to walk out the door with this one! one day...

* he loves netflix right now. good/bad. he knows how to turn it on, find a movie he wants etc but then he wants to watch one all day! too many choices! ha. he is still into all the superheros so that is usually his picks. problem with netflix you search though them so the twins see a show they want.. and its a battle to make a decision! so we have been limiting tv lately...  not worth the fight

*he loves to go swimming and is more daring now.  we go often and i'm thinking parker just isn't a water boy... he has fun for awhile and then is ready to get out and will just sit on a lawn chair. guess that is okay... at least he will get in the water now.

*he loves writing notes to people. this is way more fun to him than coloring (which he never took a liking too)  he is good with his letters and it will be fun when he can spell, write himself. I'm fine helping him now.. but it will just be nice when he can without my help every time.

*he is a much better eater now than he ever has been. still picky and only likes certain things... but its not such a battle... and he will sit at the table until he is done.  -not every day but it is getting better:)

*the boys share a room now and it has been fun to watch them together. i love hearing them talk at bedtime. i let it go on for a bit but usually have to go in and tell them to go to sleep. brothers are so fun

Adam

*he is so funny. he talks funny, laughs funny and i'm pretty sure he thinks he is funny ha. 

*he has great facial expressions and i love getting little video clips of him throughout the day. he is always good for a laugh

*he is a crazy one. he jumps off everything does cartwheels anywhere and everywhere (they are good too may i add) he is my wild child. i hold my breath everyday that we don't have an ER trip.

*he likes to be the leader in EVERYTHING that we do. to the door first, the car, the kitchen everywhere. it isn't always a good thing... but it makes me laugh. until he has a melt down that parker beat him. most of the time parkers isn't racing him... but he is just a competitive little bugger. 

*he wants to do things BY HIMSELF getting dressed (which parker never cared to do himself until he was like 4 ha) get in/out of our truck he even wants to get parker and abby their cup of milk or whatever each meal ha. it is okay and sure he is a great helping but when he doesn't get too he drops to the ground and cries! ha. it is always funny when he does it for some reason. but i'm seeing more anger issues coming out in adam that i'm a little worried about. he was always our fun laid back child... not happy about this. 

*he LOVES swimming and is great at it. with floaties of course but swims from one end of the pool to the other and loves it 

* he still claims he is 5 but now holds up two fingers and says he's 5. ha but then no i 2 and parker 5

*oh yeah.. he speaks incorrectly. he mixes up his first person pronouns. 

 like he says,  Me go here, me open door,  me want this toy. i love it and think it is so cute but james always corrects him. I think he can talk correctly when he starts school:) 

*he loves abby and gets excited when she wakes up and comes in the room. sometimes he doesn't get the love reciprocated and gets mad that she wont hug him! ha. it really is funny. but he does it back to her when he won't dance with her or give her hugs when she wants them.  twins... ha

*he tells them to "stop bugging him" ha it is so funny when he says it. but i'm pretty sure they hear mom say, "stop bugging each other!" ha. i have to be careful what i say!

he is tender hearted too.. and when i get mad, he said, "you mad mom? ha. it's hard to get mad at a cute face staring at you

Abigail

she lives in fairy tale land. everything is about a princess. she is a princess, she wears "princess shoes" and when i do her hair she has "princess hair" it cracks me up. i was never all about princesses and called her that when she was little. of course i've bought her dolls and pink things but she is in our own little world. 

*she is hilarious to listen to play dolls and barbies. says the funniest things. i need to record her.

* one of her little friends out here has mermaid fins she wears at the pool.  the first time abby saw here she said, "mermaid i love you!" she says, "mermaid come back" when she swims away.. it is hilarious

and she does it every time we see her now. she will call her by name but usually its mermaid.

*she dresses herself and changed outfits like 3 times a day!! it makes me crazy sometime. i try to just not worry about it. but it is so funny! she goes from dress to dress. for awhile she would ONLY wear dresses but she is getting better. it just makes me laugh that she wants to change clothes often. 

boys are SO different

*she has calmed down  ALOT she will always be my feisty drama queen I'm sure. but i know she really has relaxed tons. she still has her tantrums but she can sit and play with her dolls for a long time and keep herself entertained often.

*she loves broccoli. loves it. she still does the num num num thing when she eats. it's so funny. we always know when abby likes her food. she is my best eater. she will try anything but is a little bird eater. a few bites here and there. but she does like most foods.

*she loves parker and adam and gets excited to see them and says, come on boys follow me! best ever

*she's a mama girl and likes to be close. we will be at the park and the boys are away playing and she will sit on the bench with me for quite a while. but at the same time when she goes out she is a little wonderer and i have to keep an eye on here! she escapes quick

*she's a little talker and speaks really precise. her words are correct and i've never had to help her pronounce words like i do with the boys. i love her cute little voice

*things are done her way or NO way. we are working on this. ha but she can be quite the little bossy girl too. he brothers pay for this often.

we are in transition with NO NAPS for the twins right now... and i tell you its a different day everyday. adam will still lay down everyday and is SO much happier throughout the day. he is one grumpy boy if he doesn't. but then we are going to bed between 9-10 i miss my 8pm bedtime. 

abby doesn't always need a nap... but will lay in her bed for a couple hours.. sometimes she will fall asleep, most of the time she doesn't. so then i think i can put her to bed earlier... that is hit and miss too! she could still stay up past 9!  i heard the other day that kids have a block (something to the effect) when you need to put them to sleep because when you wait another hour they get their second wind.. that is my kids for sure. but they are so happy and have a crazy side to them at night. they run around and laugh and play. they are funny but it is a battle to get them to go to bed! and with it being SO bright outside until 9pm all summer this has been a challenge. kids need like 14 hours a sleep.. that is SO much! i hope we get on a better schedule when parker starts school etc. i need my own time too:)

they really are all best friends and i hope they always stay this close. i love hearing them say:

          "i love you adam"  "please sit by me"  "do you want my toy"  "mom she is my best friend"

  "give me a hug"    "i will help you"   "can we share a bed"   "mom i don't want friends over, just us" 

i hope i always hear them talk to one another like this.. don't get me wrong... they fight ALOT and sometimes i just want to scream PLEASE GET A LONG stopping fighting over that ONE toy. I'll call james to find out when he is coming home because i'm not sure how much longer i can deal with the whininess.. but under all that they each have a soft spot and have sweet moments that i cherish.

i can't forget what adam did one night (after a long day of mom getting mad at him for not listening)

" he came up to me with his lips puckered up for a kiss, then his fist held out for rocks, then a high five, and finished with a big hug. he ran back to his room saying, I love you so much mom. 

i love being a mom.
