this is how our summer has been. HOT
of course we hear it's not "usually" this hot and they are reaching heat records this summer...
we spend our days in our air conditioned apartment or at the pool:)
my poor husband is out working in this dreadful heat every day. 
 The first couple weeks we lived here in wichita
we would only come across parks with only playgrounds. 

i was determined to find one with a splash pad but really got worried we wouldn't find one...

we finally did and the kids LOVE it

we will be (and have been) spending many days here this summer

there is usually a playground close and the kids make their way over to it.

play for a bit and go get wet again. You just feel the heat when you are not in the water!
its pretty miserable i must say! 

adams face goes red in seconds... poor kid. he never seems to mind though

SNOW CONES and rocket ship popsicles = 3 happy kids!!
