Wish i could say that i went with James to HAWAII
he says it was for "work" but it sure took some convincing
He has a few too many friends in the alarm industry and when he got a call to go sell alarms in Hawaii
he couldn't pass that up...  can't blame him, just wasn't too happy for him
i wasn't at all actually, i felt bad because he was stoked! it took me awhile but then i got thinking about
how hard he works for our family, time he is away from us sitting in a hotel room. He sacrifices so
much, it is hard for him to be away, he misses me and the kids and we all miss him
so guess he deserves to go to a "fun" place!  i guess.
never thought it would be a "paradise like" place but i'm glad he got to go. next time i will be going for
sure!!! right babe!!??? :)
so i figured he deserves to 'make the blog' haha.
i'm just impressed he took pictures AND he was in a few of them too!
so here are a few pics of James time in HAWAII playing i mean "working"!

he snorkeled and swam with sea turtles in the coves in the above picture. pretty awesome.

This is Matt. He lives in Hawaii right now attending BYU and works at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

He was able to meet James at the temple one day. He was one of James' Priests in our ward. It was fun for them to chat and hang out. 

side story: He showed up and James asked him, "Are you wearing a dress Matt!??" 

Matt says, "No it's a mans skirt!"haha

he had just come from work, and everyone wears them there, haha too funny

a fun restaurant Matt told him to try out

James says it was YUMMY

he was able to go on a hike to STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

as you see on this sign, this placed was CLOSED!

leave it up to James and his buddies to break the rules.. they "said" there were other people there, but i guess they have guards that usually come through. they got lucky that day!

BEAUTIFUL. there isn't much else to describe such a place.

i can tell just by viewing these pictures.. but James said it was BEAUTIFUL

it really said that, so they had a good laugh

it was quite a hike up all the stairs

they survived the 4000 step staircase up 2100 feet

they were tired and drenched with sweat at the end of it

i think they "wished" they had been stopped by a guard!

what a once in a lifetime experience! they had a great time.

a little more time spent out by the ocean. they went out every morning, and i'm sure more!

James came back D-A-R-K! i had to go "fake" tanning once so i didn't look so PALE next to him haha

they even watched a surfing competition for a while. 

beautiful sun set i must say!

 see how i wasn't convinced it was a "work" trip??

when did he have time to work between all these activities!
well he did it somehow and i am just glad he is home

that was sure a LONG 2weeks for me and the kids
he told me it wasn't as cool as he thought it would be (he just tried to make me feel better) 

he won't be going back to Hawaii without me that is for sure!

guess it's a good thing he got it out of his system.

next time it will be a FAMILY vacation! ha
or i will go by MYSELF next time.
pretty sure i could manage laying out on hammock reading a book while watching the ocean waves!
