October 30th (the day we celebrated Halloween)
Dustin and Jen were at our house so we got to spend some time with them!the kids followed them around everywhere and got them to play swords, transformers or whatever else they conned them into playing with them.
They were such great sports and my kids LOVED them.
It was so fun to get to know Jen, she is a great girl and we are happy to have her join our family!
the cookie decorating began....
making sugar cookies is an ALL DAY process! but we can't go without traditions around here...
they are so yummy, i just might have ate a little too many!ha
Lyla and abby just wanted to EAT the cookies!! they sure are cute together, they are going to grow up to be best friends!! abby loves her and yells LYLA every time she comes through the door!
Kalei Jake and Lyla arrived as well, and we enjoyed ourselves out in the backyard for a bit until the clouds rolled in and the storm came! it was crazy!!! Our beautiful day turned into a windy COLD Halloween night!
THEN we all went and got dressed up!!!! (well, most of us)
i'm not a big dresser up-er but we tried, we didn't plan ahead too much so what else, but a
soccer player and cheerleader!!! (lets not talk about how my skirt does not fit anymore... ugg)
had to throw these in...
james said he never kissed a cheerleader, i made his dreams come true that day!!! hahahaha
(guess i never kissed a soccer player either) we were meant to be!) ha
we're dorks i know
CHELSI AND JAKE
IF we had a contest... the winner definitely would have been
DUSTIN AND JEN!
DUSTIN AND JEN!
Don't they look awesome!?? loved it.
sweetest costumes ever, nice job guys!
if you weren't sure... Dustin is a 1920's gangster & Jen is a flapper girl
Me and my Dorothy:)

LION :: MONKEY :: DOROTHY
and this one: Lyla looking at her cousins like, WHY the heck are you both crying!???while we were out taking pictures, i look over and ADAM is handing out candy to the trick or treaters!!! i sure snapped pics of that! it was too cute!
love that boy! what a stud.
then parker wanted to help out as well.. In fact one of the highlights of the night was watching Parker put rubber bats on the inside of the door with tape and them falling off and then looking at them on the floor while he opened the door and apologize to the trick-or-treaters for the bats being on the floor. It was so funny. You need to ask Dustin and Jen to tell you the whole story.. They tell the story so well.
I also made my neighbors pose for a picture. aren't they SO cute though!?
thanks thalman kids, you guys are awesome!
cousins Katy and Emily dropped by!
they quickly ran off to knock at every door in town!
TRADITIONS once again! gotta love it!my moms specialty.. Chili and hot apple cider! she never fails us!
yes those bread bowls look just like Pumpkins! awesome i know:)
thanks to kalei for those!
THE WHOLE CLAN!!
