FIRE STATION 10/8/09

Parker's first FIELD TRIP in preschool....

I was able to be one of the moms that went with his class! well not sure if i really 'helped' it was actually fun for me too! ha I've never done a tour at the fire station! The kids were so cute, they all just sat there and listened to the fire chief and were so intrigued by everything that he told them. He talked with them for awhile, told them what to do incase of a fire (i realized that we hadn't talked about this yet...) Then they showed them all the trucks and everything else at the station. It was a great day and a very fun field trip.

one of the firefighters put on the whole armor, and it started to scare all the kids a little.. the firefighter told them if they see this crazy looking guy... to not hide under the bed, but to yell for help so they can find you in a fire. They slowly got more daring and got closer to him.

Parker's highlights of the trip:

seeing all the "big Red Fire trucks"

puting on the helmet and coat

seeing that huge ax

turning the sirens on and holding his ears because it was loud

getting to sit on the "old" fire truck

going inside the firetruck and jumping out of it

he LOVED it all, and came home wanting to be a FIREMAN... hahamaybe he could, he would make a cute firefighter!!!

STILL CAN'T BELIEVE MY LITTLE BOY IS A PRE-SCHOOLER... BUT HE IS LOVING SCHOOL EVERYDAY.
