facts about the TWINS at one

NOT sure how many
diapers they have gone through, never wanted to count....
baby wipes they have used, for about everything...
cans of formula they have used... we sure have LOVED costco
baby food they eat, they do love to eat but still crossing our fingers for "good" eaters...
loads of laundry that i do weekly... this one has become less, at least then when they were babies...
and much more,
but i STILL CAN'T BELIEVE MY BABIES ARE ONE!!!

Twins... but opposite
ADAM: BOY / ABIGAIL: GIRL
ADAM: brown hair, brown eyes / ABIGAIL:Blonde hair, blue eyes
ADAM: mellow, always smiling (unless he is hungry) / ABIGAIL: feisty, DRAMA, but sweet

ADAM: Left handed / ABIGAIL: Right handed

maybe.. not sure yet
ADAM: solid built, our little tank / ABIGAIL: petite, but has formed some chubby thighs
ADAM: crawled first / ABIGAIL: got teeth first (she has two, adam has NONE)

ADAM: goes up stairs fast and can now go down them pretty good / ABIGAIL: is our cautious little one. she'll follow him up, but then start yelling, until someone comes to get her

ADAM: likes to crawl on cement floors / ABIGAIL: likes the grass

ADAM: likes his bottle, try getting it away when he wants to drink it! / ABIGAIL: loves her blanket and binky

ADAM: loves vegetables / ABIGAIL: love fruits and says mmm... when she likes it

ADAM: loves cars and anything with wheels / ABIGAIL: loves her necklaces and girly things

ADAM: Is very alert and always on the go. / ABIGAIL: has become our little cuddle girl and will sit with you for awhile.. at least more than a few minutes.. Adam doesn't last long

they BOTH like to

*DANCE.. to about any beat.

abby shakes her hips and shoulders and Adam bobs up and down and claps

*put EVERYTHING in their mouth,

*take toys aways from each other

* give kisses (only when they want to though and this one is new)

*love to be around people and smile and show off

*LOVE trips to walmart (or really any store. some people might think i am CRAZY but they really are so good at the store, they just look around and when they get antsy i just get out of there quick!
*hate to get dressed!! i can say it really wears me out after changing times!ha

*i will be gone for a few minutes.. come back and books, magazines and anything else is thrown off the table. or toys taken out of the baskets (they are getting good at this one)

I'm a little worried what i am in for down the road...

*they both LOVE cell phones and NOT the fake or broken ones. i can't call or text someone when they are on my lap cause they will freak out, especially Abby

*they both have LONG eyelashes, love them

*when they hear water running.. they dart to the tub and try to climb in clothed and all

they both talk or sing themselves to sleep... always wonder if they "really" will go to sleep

(they sleep in separate rooms.. and have pretty much since birth-they wake each other up)

*they go to bed at the same time.. about 8pm

* they take one nap during the day...

everyday is different but ranges from 2 -4 1/2 hrs

(I'm lucky if it is at the same time... but it is getting more consistent)

*i have yet to have a "scheduled" child.. (if that is what you'd call it.. ha)

when we are aways from home they are totally different kids

*both VERY ticklish, and laugh so hard... makes up laugh so hard

*they run (well crawl very quickly) to the door as soon as it is opened

*they both aren't walking.. but we think it will be Adam first! he walks around the furniture and about walks off the edge! Abby, has no interest. again.. cautions little one. she stands up to things and gets scared and thinks she is stuck!!

and i can say that I am NOT pushing this at all. they can walk when they want... i am good with two crawlers!!!

*we thought we had an October "baby"... but the news of TWINS changed everything

(went full-term with twins.. 38 weeks so had them on Sept. 25)

OKAY OKAY they do have a lot of similarities... i always tell people that they are SO different. but than again, they do all these things, but their personalities really feel like they are night and day to us. having twins feels like they really switch places daily... one will be happy one day and the other needy and then they will switch the next day! i have always felt that it is better we don't have TWO grumpy babies in the same day so i guess we can consider that lucky.

It's so interesting to me to have two babies at the same time. I don't do anything different with either one of them, but yet they are so different! with the exception of the obvious...

I won't lie, it has been a tough year... my patience has been tried, i am glad they are getting "older" at least out of the 'newborn' stage... but it is so fun having a boy and girl set of twins. We laugh everyday at their opposite personalities and how they love each other one day and don't want to be touched by the other the next. but they have been a blessing in our life and we love them both so very much!
