2 year old check-ups

I still can't believe my babies are TWO
time has flown by but i am glad they are TWO
what a fun stage this is, they sure keep us on our toes!
they laugh, they cry, they fight over the same toy
but each smile and hug they give to us each day, makes all those hard days fade away...

they've supported the team this year... guess it hasn't been enough! 

Adam and Abigail had their TWO year old check ups last Thursday.
they might be little, but the doctor says they are sure healthy and happy! They smiled for him, abby kept saying Hi Doctor! until he laid her down to check her, she wasn't happy about that. Adam smiled and liked the tools that he used.  until the nurses came in to give them their shoots... oh how i hate watching them smile and then SCREAM when they get poked! i feel so bad:( they were pretty tough, adam barely whimpered, abby wouldn't stop crying!

ADAM : 26 LBS  (22%)  Length 34" (33%)

when we left james and i were cheering in the car that we have a child ON THE CHARTS!! ha. okay maybe not so funny but parker hasn't really been "on the charts" so we were excited, we were cheering for adam:) haha. it really was funny guess we will have all small kids, but we love them!!

a few facts about my adam...

-he has always been exactly 1/2 inch taller than abby and a few pounds heavier. i swear he weighs more than 26 he's a thick boy and abby feels SO much lighter

-sadly adam's CHUBBINESS is fading away, he has really slimmed down. i'm sad, but i knew the inevitable would soon happen, pretty sure we will have all small children:)
-he sleeps in a BIG BOY BED! okay... some of the time. there is a queen bed in his room on the floor and a few weeks ago, he kept pointing to it so i let him sleep there! he did great, stayed there all night!
it's me that isn't ready... ha. so now he goes back and forth, but i think he will be a good little boy to graduate to the BIG BED!  I am thinking of getting bunk beds for the boys... that would be so fun!

-he has become a pickier eater, i think it is more like he can't sit in the same spot for more than 5 minutes!

some days he eats tons and other days, he doesn't eat much at all. oh well, at least he eats!

-he says Parker's name the cutest way ever, clear as day, it just sounds so cute!

-with that, he LOVES his big brother and follows him everywhere and copies everything he does

-he jumps off the couches as well as everything else, he's our wild man, funny as can be

-runs around the room when "Diego" comes on the tv he loves this show

-he loves abby but then can be the biggest tease ever. he thinks it is funny to sit close to her, put his leg on her, when he knows she doesn't like it. (she likes her distance) other times she will laugh but they are starting to really "play" and follow each other around

-he really says a lot of new words. he blabs out sentences but you can catch a word or two in the sentence. it's really quite cute. he looks at you like he is telling you something, and expects us to answer..? ha

-he doesn't like to be held much, always says "walk" when you get him out of the car etc.

-he holds hands with parker. i love it. especially cause i only have to hold abby now, that is so nice!

.... love adam and parker's brotherly relationship, hope they stay "buds" forever!

-he likes to play with dinosaurs/car/trucks/trains/ transformers and all the other fun boys stuff!

-he gives great hugs and kisses and we love our adam so much

ABIGAIL: 22 LBS (5%)  LENGTH 33.5" (34%)

still our petite little one,  at least she is on the charts:) 

a few things about Abby Cadabby (new Nickname) 

she has an elmo book called to: Abby Love: Elmo and in it the girl's name is Abby Cadabby! so cute

-she carries her dolls everywhere she goes. tells them "night night" each night, and always has one with her

-she loves her purple teddy bear as well and pushes her in her baby stroller

... i LOVE watching her play dolls, she puts her baby in her pack n play wraps her in her blanket then puts a blanket over the bed as well. how do they learn these things, motherly instincts from birth:)

-she loves her brothers but sometimes they torment her, at least it seems that way. she runs around with them and the next second she is crying! she can only handle so much...? not sure

-she repeats back everything we say, in the sweetest little voice. i love it. 

she's putting 2-3 words together like:  there it is. i got it. no no adam. mommy i do it. parker adam mom dad (anyone elses name in the room) let go. thank you. mommy please. stop it mommy (when i read her books and she wants to do it herself, or tells adam or parker to stop it too) it sounds so cute, it's hard to not laugh

-she can say her letters and numbers but really mainly only repeating them. oh she does say XYZ over and over ha.
-tonight she said, trick or treat! we had our ward Trunk or Treat (pictures to come later)

-she is our best eater, meaning she will try everything but then she is a little bird eater! she doesn't eat a lot at one time, but can eat all day!

-we haven't ventured into potty training yet... but one day she did say, Abby go potty?? i about died. 

she took her pants, diaper off,  i sat her on the toilet and THEN she wanted to get right off! ha. 

i think i'll wait a little... ha. i don't think i'm ready for that:)

-we haven't ventured out to a toddler bed either, which I'm fine with! she LOVES her crib, some days we find her playing and talking in there for at least an hour before she falls asleep. i think it is cute. 

sometimes she uses her crib as a trampoline! some days, i wish she'd go to sleep though, cause then it makes for a later nap... oh well.
-she also says, see ya bye, whenever we leave the house, or when someone stops to visit and they leave.

-she LOVES barbies! yep she is my girl:) i was definitely a barbie queen growing up, loved them. it is so fun seeing her play with them.  my cousins gave her a barbie house and she loves it! she carries two of them together and they talk back and forth with each other!

-she's as light as a feather and can wear 2T shirts but she has no waist so 18months pants fit.. but are short. so she'll always be hard to shop for i'm sure. not that i haven't had practice with parker or anything:)

-she loves to wear dresses and gets excited every time i pull one out! she has started going into her closest and bringing clothes out, and she gets mad if she is already dressed and wants to wear something else. sometimes she is a piece of work:) but we love our Abby Cadabby!

i wish they could stay TWO forever! 

yes they have their days, 

maybe because we  haven't seen their terrible TWO'S come to life yet... 

but then i felt it was terrible THREE'S more with parker than terrible TWO'S

either way, we'll take them, they are so fun and their TWIN instincts are coming about

what ever that means...

people ask if they "act like twins" well.. i can say that is my favorite thing about having twins is watching them follow each other around and having a friend at ALL times!
they are quite a pair
