these two

have become BEST FRIENDS
don't get me wrong some days they aren't too fond of each other...
but there is nothing better than seeing these two make each other laugh

sorry... these might not be "web worthy" but... i couldn't resist! ha
love them both more than then will ever know

abigail at 3 years old
She is all about princesses/dolls/dress up shoes/skirts/ tu tu's/ accessories etc.
she doesn't want to leave the house without something on... cracks me up.
she loves necklaces and her princess tiara
she has this cute little smirk on her face while she prances around and says, "My name is Rapunzel"
i'm pretty sure she has worn her rapunzel dress every day since her birthday
(sure isn't made with great quality... the material is shredding quickly, she doesn't like it either and tells me to fix her "princess" dress. it can't look like that mom.
she loves the color pink. her outfit usually consists of some sort of pink in it. she loves to wear dresses and it is a stuggle to get her to wear jeans. it doesn't matter if i dress her for the day. she ends up with a pink tu tu or dress over the top of her outfit. i don't worry about it.
it makes me laugh that she dresses her self.
boys are so different:)

she loves her her new room and her "big girl bed"
i had a friend paint an old headboard/footboard that i got from my grandma and it turned out so cute
she has her little kitchen set up in her room now and her barbie and doll collection as well.
she is now in heaven in her own room.
only problem is she can get on and off her bed herself so it hasn't been too good for nap time.
this has been gong on for awhile... i am tempted to take her toys out, but then she loves to play in there.

this little girl is in her own little world. she plays for hours by herself,
talks to herself and is just hilarious to listen too. i always say, i need to record her.
nap time consists of her laying down (without a battle) but then minutes later she is gabbing away at her dolly/barbie whatever she wants to play with. even as i leave she says, "i talk to barbie mom"
it was so cute at first... but now she won't go to sleep!!!! i know she is 3 and maybe naps should be over, but mom loves her 2-3 hour break:) don't worry she will stay IN HER ROOM for 2 hours just talking away. sometimes she will fall asleep but not always. i shouldn't complain.  but then she is grumpy the rest of the day. so we are definitely in transition to no naps. maybe sooner than later.
even without a nap this girl still stay up late and plays with her toys. i know i started a bad thing with taking one toy to bed. but the boys do great with this. they go right to sleep. abby.. nope.
we have the door cracked open a little,  and always peak in and get a laugh in what she does each night.
i have found her walking her baby stroller around, two barbies talking to each other, playing with her puppy, laying there with her legs in the air just kicking around, and more i'm sure of.
Uncle curt gets a kick out of it and always peaks in on her too. he will open it and tell her to close her eyes and she will put her hands over her eyes, close her eyelids and lay back to her pillow.  hilarious.
any tricks to getting her to sleep?? i know she needs it

she love to paint her fingernails. when they are, she loves to show everyone the color.

she loves to play in the tub with her new swim-barbie. she would stay in there for hours if i would let her.  she cries when bath time if over. sometimes that is.
she loves to take showers, and loves her hair washed. such a girl:)

she loves to take her baby around in her stroller, and tells me she is taking her to the store, home etc.
it's always "baby" she doesn't ever name them.

she loves playing with cousin lyla. they play dress-up and barbies and watch tangled together
i hope they stay best friends forever

she is a girly girl, but still loves to collect rocks, play in the dirt, take her brothers dinosaurs and roar at them. plays swords with the boys and everything else. love that she can be both:)

i love laying with her at night, tickling her neck and hearing her laugh, it is just about the sweetest thing EVER. she always asks me if i want to sleep with her. i always reply that i will for a few but then i need to go to my own bed. she says, ok mom. gives me hugs and kisses. and blows me a kiss as i leave her room.  i always go back and check on her. nothing better than a sleeping child.
love watching them sleep

i LOVE having a girl. can't wait to do more fun mom/daughter things with her. i hope she wants to be my best friends as i want to be hers.

adam at 3 years old
his little personality is really coming out
the funny things he says crack me up. he pretty much has his own language and i'm not sure how he comes up with the things he does. like he says,  "mom where us going?" or "mom where you come from" when i come back from somewhere.  when he leaves the house he says, " i come back someday"
parker doesn't talk like this, and we don't of course. but i love it and i can't get myself to correct him, because it is so dang cute! i will when he gets older:)

he has the funniest little faces, and has quite the little attitude. he always has some funny remark, his facials alone, make you burst up laughing. it is hard to get mad at a cute little face ( don't worry i still can.. ha) he has a few funny walks he does, hard to explain them. he walks like he is running in slow motion moving his arms slowly. he walks with his chin in the air as he follows you around. he is a fast little guy too. everything he does cracks me up

he is a competitive little one... it's all about who gets in bed the fastest... sits at the table, get to the front door, to the car, seatbelt on first, gives mom hugs first,  the list goes on. he is NOT happy when he doesn't win. he yells i want to win!! take off your seatbelt. yeah... i thought it was good that he wanted to be a good helper, he is the one to always say he will take the dirty diaper outside... ha.
it's not always a good thing.  we are working on him not always taking 1st place ha

he has a temper to him as well though. this isn't so fun. most of the time he is pretty happy but when he doesn't get naps he can be pretty mean. he has a little fire in him, and instead of how parker reacts to situations (like just tells mom/dad) he tries to fix the problem himself by; pushing abby or parker around. taking the toy himself, and making everyone else mad. running with abby's dolls to the other room and hiding them. whatever it may be, he can be a little mean bugger.
he has definitely been my most mischievous child. we have found him with markers coloring the carpet, or parkers t-shirts. and other things...  parker wasn't ever like him.
he doesn't do well with time outs either. he used to run to the stairs and just sit there. now he doesn't think he needs them? i don't know but he doesn't like to be sent to his room.

he likes to go go go. anyone that is leaving the house he wants to go with them. he loves taking parker to and from school and always wants to be in on the action. days that james is home and i take parker myself, when i return he freaks out and yells that he wanted to go and for me to go back outside! ha

he loves abby and always wants to give her hugs/kisses. when abby gets all dressed up he asks her to dance with him. he is so sad when she doesn't... and walk over to me with a sad face, and says, "abby don't want to dance with me mom..." he sure has a puppy dog face to him too.

he doesn't take abby's dolls as much anymore.. he used to be just to get under her skin
now he uses our single stroller and puts his stuffed dog in and takes it on walks while abby takes her doll around the yard. another favorite thing i love watching these two play together.

funniest thing he has said, when i tired to put chap-stick on him, "mom, i don't have pretty lips" haha.

when i tuck him into bed at night, he says, "i love you to the moon mommy"
-parker always said i love to the moon and back-
or adam says, i love you SO SO SO Much mom.
sometimes i think he says things just to "prolong" bedtime. but i will take it:)

ADAM AND ABIGAIL are now just "getting the idea that they are twins" we call them twins, but lately we have been asking them who their twin is and they both say each others names in the cutest voice ever. favorite question to ask them right now for sure.
i wonder if they really get it?
sure hope they stay close forever.

i was told a few sundays ago that they will be entering sunbeams in january... my jaw dropped!
i almost broke down right there. really it is when they turn 3??? i think parker was 4. ha.
i should have told them they just turned 2. okay they will fine. more than mom will i'm sure of it!
i'm about to bite the bullet and get these two potty-trained!!! yes they are 3 and are NOT PT'd yet.. but come on, one is hard enough i've been putting this off for a reason!! ha.
parker actually was 2 weeks after he turned 3 so i've been okay knowing the twins weren't. but feel like it is time i guess.  the twins were like a week old when we potty-trained parker-worst week EVER. ha. but he did it in 4 days and that was that. i won't hold my breath that it will be that easy this time.
but i can hope right!?  WISH ME LUCK
they, well i should say adam shows all the signs of being ready... he actually went in the potty a few times this summer but then would tell us, "i go in my diaper" ha. i didn't push it (maybe i should have) but maybe me typing this will get me to to follow through with this.
abby doesn't seem ready at all, i have no clue when she goes. she only tell me to change her diaper when she is finished! ha. so she might take a bit longer.
my mom bought her a "princess potty" that just might do the trick though.
i have a girls weekend planned this weekend so next week we will start. or maybe the week after that:)
no diapers in our house... sounds pretty nice:)

Still can't believe my babies are 3 they sure bring a lot of joy and love to our family and we couldn't imagine our life without the "twins" i love that they are so different and have their own little personalities. they make us laugh daily and i hope they know how much we love them.

Good luck on the Potty Training. We just got done with Tyler, and it just made me dread twins potty training!! I think it helps that they are older though, Tyler was way easier than Aubrey, who potty trained at 2! Hope it goes well!
