for all 3 kids
yep mother of the year right here... parker hasn't been to the dentist. don't judge:)
but with my background and the many visits i have had personally
i've been scared to death of taking my kids!!
i've been scared to death of taking my kids!!
Parker has sensitive teeth, he always has and doesn't love us to touch them etc
so i just figured he had "my teeth"
so i just figured he had "my teeth"
i've prayed and prayed for my kids to have their "dads teeth" he's NEVER had a cavity in his life
(until he married me. no joke. now he has one ha)
well i've been talking to the kids about their visit to the dentist... so I made the appointment for all 3
get it over in one shot right!?
i can say this now because it is over... but they ALL DID AWESOME
i was shocked i won't lie. i was so nervous going in... they don't let me look at their teeth, why would they let someone else? they sure surprised me and i was so proud of them:)
This was just a "happy-visit"... the dentist showed them around, let them look at the "big flashlight" the light to look into their mouths, counted their teeth and gave them a take-home bag with a toothbrush/floss/stickers parker adam and abigail were great, she told them they were their "best patients ever" I'm just glad we didn't have some serious melt downs... again i was beyond happy ha.
they did better than me, i get the chills walking to a dentist office... it just make my teeth cringe! ha.

results: adam and parker have "my teeth" and abigail has "dad's teeth"
really... basically that is what it is. Abby's teeth look awesome.. no cavities nothing. the boys' teeth have some bruising, dark spots she said (start of cavities) and parker has some work to be done on a back tooth. We need to floss more and cut out the candy. She told them to pick ONE day out of the week to have a cheat day. one day?? Of course i knew it was bad... but one day? this will be a challenge for us, a good challenge. my kids LOVE junk food. but i guess i better do it. She told them kids usually pick maybe a saturday so parker says, "i want it to be tuesdays" ha.
of course he would, he likes to be different:)
so we got our first dental visit over... what a relief!!!
of course now I wish we would have done is sooner....
oh well. live and learn. at least i took the twins at age 2 :)
before we left
(something about these stairs this summer... we always take a pic before leaving to go somewhere ha)
meeting the dentist.
they showed them around. the kids loved the animal room

love this one:)
he is being told here no more candy... he was shocked a little ha.
but since then he keeps asking what day it is haha
she gave them coins and they got a prize
i told them we would go to the pet store if they were good
(yes i bribed them, remember i was worried ha)
they beg me every time we pass it when we leave our house.
so pet store pics coming and the cutest puppy i've ever seen. i truly wanted to walk out the door with it
still can't believe we didn't... okay i do:)

I too am so terrified of the dentist and pray that my kids would get "dad's teeth", but both of my boys have "my teeth". Why can't everyone just have perfect straight white teeth and eat what they want. Good luck cutting out junk. My kids might be better at it if I were.
So glad it went well! It is always such a relief to have the first visit over. After that it doesn't seem so scary. I was hopeing the girls had "my teeth", but they both seem to have their "dads teeth" What kills me is that we pay SO much to fix the cavities, and then they will just fall out:(
YAY! What cute kids! Glad the visit went good--besides the cavities! I need to get Hallie in soon, but putting it off, ha. Conner went a couple weeks ago and was cavity free!!! I was super excited considering his last horrer visit! So, there is luck! Miss ya!
