hays kansas

our week at the RAMADA INN was... well, interesting
we had a 2 bedroom "suite" which really meant one bedroom with two double beds and then a door dividing a sitting area with couch and TV
sleeping arrangements weren't so great... but the two boys shared a bed, we had a pack n play for abigail and james and I in one bed. sleeping wasn't bad, they luckily all sleep through the night... it was just getting them to GO to sleep. they just wanted to play and goof off! i had to sit in the room until at least one was a sleep so they others would follow. I was wore out by the end of the week!
we did have a microwave and a small refrigerator
i "thought" we could make a few meals, buy sandwich stuff.. cereal for kids and canned items.. but it was harder then i thought it would be. so we ate out... a lot.
but don't worry, i was happy we found a JIMMY JOHNS two blocks away. pretty sure we ate there at least 4 days in a row. yum. best bread ever and i got Jen and Dustins hooks too! they thank me a lot:) ha.
i get the same sandwich every.time turkey tom, it is most simple sandwich, but it is just tasty!
i'm trying to lay off the dr. pepper... but it taste SO good with a sandwich. so i gave in a few times..
the kids enjoyed the trips to  Sonic Wendy's and the few times we played at mcdonalds play place.. the cleanest one i've seen yet, i might add. i was impressed. you even have to purchase socks if you didn't bring them..?

i had a "great" experience day two of staying at the hotel... ordering food from the room at Stadium Club Bar and Grill next to the hotel... the menu looked promising and there were a lot of options. so i went ahead and ordered mac n cheese for the kids and a caesar salad for me. It was later in the evening and i had the kids in their pajamas. they didn't deliver so i walked the kids over and when i walked in, it was a total bar there were ONLY guys there and pretty much every eye starred at me as i walk in with 3 kids in their pj's to a bar.. it was quite a sight.  the kids were good to sit at the small table at the entrance while i paid for our food. I also got lemonade and they told me they didn't have to-go cups so i walked out with two plastic bud light cups!! yep it was awesome. ha. wow what a night.  It really sounded like a restaurant (stadium club bar and GRILL)  yes it is called a bar but the menu said other wise.
oh and don't worry, the food was terrible too. guess i learned to not do that again! haha. good times.

the kids has a blast swimming at the hotel. there was a huge hot tub that they spent most of the time there. the pool was FREEZING. it has a fun slide but it was so cold! they did go down a few times and parker got brave and did it himself but i didn't care to go myself, but we did. gosh things we do for our kids. ha. It is so fun to have Jen here with us, we get to hang out with the guys are working all day. she is so great, and she helps SO much! i feel bad sometimes... but she is so willing to help out in any way. the kids love her and it's nice to have an extra hand to help with the kids!

the pool...
that is parker at the end of it

movies in the room...
boys sleeping in same bed...
eating continental breakfast...
playing at mcdonalds place place...
silly adam...
i'm beginning to think i won't get normal pics often..
he also has a silly grin on his face. always.
i love it
they had a case full of toys from kids-meals. It was pretty cool to look back through the years..
but then abby wanted to PLAY with all the princesses... ha. she had fun looking at them

this was what i was impressed with...
they could play with out paying money! the boys loved it
lounging by the pool
when mom doesn't want to swim...

they had a fun little area with arcade games and etc
it was cool, but it was hard to keep the kids away from the water.
my two batmans...

glad these 3 silly kids can make the best out of a situation:) they thought the hotel was fun and liked jumping on the beds and getting ice out of the ice-machine. we even sat and watched a wedding reception the last night we were there... yep it was awesome. ha.
oh good times...
