december happenings

can't believe it's December. the 10th none the less! 15 more days until CHRISTMAS!! wow.
we have been BUSY BUSY around our house, here are a few things we have been up too

james has been busy this winter putting up christmas lights on houses.
( his side job since we moved here)
he did a few of the home-show homes, neighbors, and family.  they all looked great!
i can't even drive by to watch him anymore, it freaks me out! i am just glad to say he is DONE
It was a little windy a few times he was out, scares me to death that he is going to fall off a ladder.
i prayed daily.
He even did the trees at our house this year!! love lights in trees. LOVE the lights at christmas time. we have gone out a few nights already driving around looking at lights on homes. fun activity for sure and the kids love it.

we took james some lunch one day so we let the kids run around for a bit. parker was there, but sat in the car.... he is beyond SCARED of dogs right now. i won't go into it, but big, small, ANY dog, he FREAKS out if he even spots a dog!! i feel so bad, nothing particularly happened, he hates them though. it  makes me sad.
as you can see the twins LOVE them! any kind, they walk right up to it and want to play! maybe a little too comfortable sometimes! they love to say HI dog, bye dog to them when they see them around

December 1st we put up our tree!! i have to say that christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate for sure!  It was so fun, kids has a blast "helping" us put the decorations on the tree. they pretty much were in a clump in one spot. ha. they ended up having more fun with our tree skirt! funny kids.

 adam thought our stockings were BOOTS! it was the funniest thing EVER. love this kid.

he'd get frustrated that they wouldn't stay on... ha

Christmas music really makes it "feel" like christmas time.

Tree all finished!!

mom and parker! i pretty much give up on having the twins sit by us to snap a picture!

the next day Parker helped dad put the lights up in the trees, he had fun playing on the ladder for the most part then he said it was too cold and he came in. ha. he's my boy for sure! ha. James is out there hours on end and i get cold walking from the car into the house! ha. I'd much rather enjoy sitting by the fire:)

THIS year has been really fun with all 3 kids. 

they are at a fun age where they kind of "get" the whole christmas thing.

they get excited about everything. they talk non stop about it, they wake up wanting it to be christmas

(it is hard saying they have to "wait" until christmas, they don't understand that part) 

especially when i let parker pick out a present... he asks me daily if he can open it! he even told me that he'd play with it and we could wrap it up again and give it to him on christmas! ha. i think not.

 i'll just stick to going christmas shopping by myself now!

we are having fun making treats for neighbors, for ourselves, drinking hot chocolate, going to christmas parties and watching christmas movies together! i LOVE this time of year, can't say it enough!
