swimming lessons

Parker's FIRST time in Swimming lessons!

Funny things about this event:

On our way to the pool, he tells me that he's going to tell his teacher that he is only a "little" scared of the water...

i learned that his swimsuit from last summer is way to small (so he wore b-ball shorts)

he wanted to carry in his 'swim bag' and said he was going to be a big boy at the pool

He got right in and followed instructions, and was so good... like he had forgotten he didn't really like the water!

His friend Connor did the class with him and he was so happy they were in the same class. They had fun

The kids got to go down the slide at the end of the first class and the teacher practically missed Parker as he didn't wait for her. He went under... but came back up laughing! improvement for sure!

On our way home he said to me, "Mom I'm not scared of the water anymore!" and continues telling everyone he talks with about his swimming lessons.

He wants to go everyday now. i think this summer will be much better!

He's done 3 classes so far and has 3 more to go and then he'll be done! I'm glad we did it, he loves it.
